“Tickets” at Fulton Station cost a minimum of $159,900.

That will buy you a newly constructed residence on a three-acre site beside the railroad tracks just west of the Loop.

Belgravia Group Ltd. plans to build 172 condominiums and 24 townhouses on the north side of Fulton Street between Jefferson and Clinton Streets.

A short walk from North Western Station, the development will feature four seven-story condominium buildings anchoring the four corners, with townhouses in the central courtyard.

Ground has been broken for the first phase of construction, which will include two of the 40-unit midrise buildings and 12 of the townhouses.

Prices range from $159,900 to $397,900 at Fulton Station for the one-, two- and three-bedroom units. First occupancies are set for mid-June in the townhouses, and mid-August in the mid-rises.

Covering more than a square block, the land for the project previously was a parking lot and a portion of Milwaukee Avenue that has been vacated. Plus, additional space will be available at the south end with the demolition of a nightclub, scheduled for the end of March.

Because more than 200 trains a day pass the site, the homes will be equipped with special insulation and accoustical-type windows. “People enjoy seeing trains, but they don’t want to hear them,” said David “Buzz” Ruttenberg, developer of Fulton Station along with Alan Lev.

The two-bedroom townhouses are priced from $309,900 to $341,900, while the one-, two- and three-bedroom condos are $159,900 to $282,900. The penthouses go for $343,900 to $397,900.

Views of the Michigan Avenue skyline will be available from north-facing units, while south units will overlook the Chicago River and the Loop.
