Antioch 48, Mundelein 13: Jeremy Grace and Karl Richter each rushed for two touchdowns, leading Antioch (5-4, 3-4) past Mundelein (2-7, 1-6) in the North Suburban.
Carmel 19, St. Patrick 18: Jim Hanna rushed for three touchdowns, including two in the second half to erase a 18-6 deficit, as Carmel (6-3, 4-2) downed St. Patrick (2-7, 1-5).
Hoffman Estates 24, Prospect 0: Hoffman (3-6, 3-2) rolled in the Mid-Suburban South as it intercepted six passes and limited Prospect (3-6, 2-3) to 67 total yards. Brad Kerr (seven carries, 64 yards) had scoring runs of 10 and 17 yards, and Pierre Sutton added an 8-yard run for another TD to lead the Hawks.
Lake Forest 24, Warren 10: Andrew Magda and John Collins each rushed for touchdowns for Lake Forest (5-4, 4-3 North Suburban). Phil Irvine’s 35-yard pass to Paul Mann accounted for the Scouts’ other TD. Mike Brandow had a 13-yard TD pass for Warren (3-6, 3-4).
Libertyville 35, North Chicago 6: Matt Treutelaar scored on a 40-yard run and an 11-yard pass from J.C. Harrington to help Libertyville (7-2, 6-1) secure a playoff berth. North Chicago (0-9, 0-7) was held to minus-5 yards in the first half but sacked Harrington five times.
Loyola 31, Holy Cross 7: Salvatore DiMucci rushed for two touchdowns and caught a TD pass from Chris Proesel as Loyola (7-2) rolled to the non-conference victory. Proesel hit DiMucci from 12 yards out in the third quarter to give the Ramblers a 24-7 lead. Steve Scolla rushed for the lone TD for Holy Cross (4-5).
Wheeling 19, Buffalo Grove 15: Wheeling (3-6, 1-4) used two TD runs by Bruno Strike and a 70-yard trick play to spoiled Buffalo Grove’s shot at a playoff berth. In the second quarter, wide receiver John Roehle took a handoff on a reverse and threw to Ed Arnston, giving Wheeling a 7-0 lead. Buffalo Grove finished 5-4, 3-2.
