Wheaton-Warrenville South 35, West Aurora 2: The Tigers, two-time defending Class 6A champions, will await word Saturday on whether their 6-3 record can take them into the playoffs. They were led Friday by Matt Drzewiecki’s two TDs rushing and Jason Steffey’s two TD receptions from Adam Green. Wheaton South finished 6-1 in the DuPage Valley. West Aurora is 4-5, 2-5.

McHenry 48, Crystal Lake Central 12: Brian Hisel (8 for 12, 214 yards) threw two TD passes, and Pete Rasmussen rushed 12 times for 113 yards and three TDs for McHenry (7-2, 7-2 Fox Valley), which clinched a Class 6A playoff spot.

Hinsdale Central 42, Proviso West 0: Hinsdale’s Mike Mangan rushed 28 times for 256 yards, breaking the school’s single-game rushing record, and scored two touchdowns as the Red Devils (2-7, 1-6) rolled in the West Suburban Silver. Quarterback Mike Everett added two scores on 11- and 33-yard runs. Proviso ended 1-8, 0-6.

Riverside-Brookfield 41, Geneva 8: In the Suburban Prairie White, Eric Bava (8 for 18, 221 yards) threw three TD passes, rushed eight times for 93 yards and returned a kickoff 95 yards for a score for R-B (6-3, 4-1). Geneva finished 1-8, 0-5.

Mooseheart 46, Lake Forest Academy 0: Matt Kitzmiller scored on runs of 2, 11 and 15 yards as Mooseheart (7-2) clinched a playoff berth. Josh Hopkins added two touchdowns, two field goals and four extra points.

Crystal Lake South 20, Grayslake 12: Dan Fure scored on a 5-yard run and Tim Padjen scored on a quarterback keeper with less than 2 minutes to go as the Gators (3-6) rallied to win in the Fox Valley.

St. Charles 48, East Aurora 12: Jonathan Drach was 8 for 12 for 169 yards and a touchdown and Jon Monken added two TDs for St. Charles (6-3, 6-1), the second-place team in the Upstate Eight.

Minooka 37, Plainfield 0: D.J. Spray had touchdown runs of 4 and 36 yards to lead Minooka (8-1, 5-0) past Plainfield (3-6, 1-4) in the Suburban Prairie Red. Jake Bavirsha added a 40-yard TD dash for Minooka.

Cary-Grove 42, Dundee-Crown 0: Tony Parillo threw two TD passes and rushed for a score to lead Cary-Grove (8-1, 8-1) past Dundee-Crown (3-6, 3-6 Fox Valley).
