A 23-year-old Prospect Heights man, already on felony probation for burglary, was charged with three misdemeanors Wednesday after he allegedly climbed through the bedroom window of a sleeping acquaintance and fled with a camera.

Venancio Solorio, of 652 Piper Lane, was charged with criminal trespass, theft and assault, said Prospect Heights Police Deputy Chief Bruce Morris.

At about 5 a.m. Wednesday, Solorio allegedly climbed through a woman’s unlocked apartment window in the 600 block of Piper Lane, Morris said. He was arrested five hours later.

The victim, 21, had been fending off unwanted advances by Solorio for about a year, Morris said. “He took a camera and attempted to hit her in the face” before fleeing, he said.
