FANUC USA Corp. would bring at least 160 jobs and $411,000 in taxes in its first year if the company moves to Hoffman Estates.

The company, which manufactures industrial robots and computerized manufacturing controls, has outgrown its facility in Elk Grove Village. FANUC is proposing to put a 175,000-square-foot building on 90 acres just north of Lakewood Boulevard, between Huntington Boulevard and Barrington Road. FANUC officials are seeking a routine tax incentive designed to keep manufacturing companies from leaving Cook County.

The Plan Commission is expected to vote on FANUC’s preliminary plans Wednesday.
