The undefeated Raiders had to reschedule Friday night’s Public League Illini Southwest showdown with Hubbard (3-0) after a transformer blew out Thursday at Gately Stadium. The game will be played at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Stagg Stadium.
The two-day repair project to restore power for the stadium’s lights also has sixth-ranked Mt. Carmel (3-0) and No. 7 Marian Catholic (3-0) moving their Catholic Metro Blue game from Saturday night to 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Gately.
“We had sold close to 1,000 tickets, had buses rented for the kids, had a pep rally and dance all set,” said Robeson Athletic Director George Pruitt. “We were also supposed to be CLTV’s game of the week. It’s too bad this couldn’t have been fixed in time.”
