Thomas M. Schippers, a assistant state’s attorney in Lake County, has left the prosecutor’s office for private practice.
Schippers, 37, most recently was a felony prosecutor, but has also worked as the Lake County Auto Task Force prosecutor and as a senior assistant in Domestic Violence Court. He has tried more than 100 cases in the 3 1/2 years with the prosecutor’s office.
A Mundelein resident and the father of three, Schippers earlier this month joined the firm of Salvi & Schostok P.C., a Waukegan firm specializing in personal injury and medical malpractice cases.
Schippers is also an adjunct professor at Columbia College in Grayslake. He is the son of David Schippers, a former assistant U.S. attorney and criminal defense lawyer.
