DuPage County Board members John Case and Robert Heap have announced they will seek re-election next year in District 5, which includes all of Naperville Township and portions of Lisle Township.
Both are Republicans from Naperville.
Case is president of Agrinetics, a producer of hybrid seeds. He is a former chairman of the North Central College board and the Benet Academy board.
Case is a former president of the DuPage Forest Preserve Commission. County Board members also sit as forest preserve commissioners.

Heap is a lawyer with offices in Naperville. He is chairman of the County Board’s Public Safety Committee.

– A $50-a-ticket fundraising reception for board members Wally Brown (R-Downers Grove) and Robert Day (R-Hinsdale) is scheduled for Tuesday evening at the Carriage Greens County Club in Darien. Brown and Day were appointed last year to fill vacancies on the 24-member board.
After his appointment, Brown won a special election in November 1996 to fill the two years remaining on the term of the late Gertrude Coit (R-Darien). Day fills the vacancy that resulted when former board member Kenneth Moy (R-Hinsdale) was elected a Circuit Court judge.
– State Sen. Kirk Dillard (R-Hinsdale) will play host for his annual golf outing Thursday at the Ruffled Feathers Golf Club in Lemont.
– The Glen Ellyn Republican Women have scheduled their annual pig roast and silent auction for 4 p.m. Saturday at the home of state Sen. Beverly Fawell, 2 S 630 Arboretum Rd., in Glen Ellyn. A donation of $25-a-person is suggested.
