Why don’t baseball’s owners just set fire to their game? It would be so much quicker than what they are doing now, burning it down a tradition at a time. Realignment? I’m all for it, as long you’re talking about taking the owners from their luxury boxes and realigning them somewhere as geographically far away from baseball as physically possible. . . . It makes too much sense to leave the sport alone, and the only sense owners want is the kind made of copper. They already have mutated baseball so much the regular season has been rendered meaningless, which is no easy thing to do when you consider the godforsaken thing lasts 162 games. There has not been something in sports so long and so useless since the playing days of Manute Bol.
