A Naperville man remained in intensive care Wednesday in Good Samaritan Hospital after a single-vehicle accident on Illinois Highway 83 near Meadowbrook Drive in Downers Grove Township.
Kevin L. Brown, 31, was charged with driving under the influence and driving without a valid driver’s license, the DuPage County sheriff’s office said.
Brown was driving northbound on Illinois 83 at approximately 3:05 a.m., when his 1991 Plymouth Sundance left the road, plowed into a ditch and struck a group of trees, according to a sheriff’s report.
When deputies arrived, Brown was lying face down and semiconscious on the pavement, and he was taken to the hospital.
