Police last weekend charged Eddie Allen, 38, of 48 W. 15th St. in Chicago Heights, with possession of stolen property after he was arrested in a car in Country Club Hills with cigarettes that had been stolen from the store at 187th Street and Dixie Highway Saturday, said Homewood Police Detective Sgt. Chuck Scheiwe.
Police say they know who the second man is who fled, and “we are confident we will make an arrest soon,” Scheiwe said. Allen was released on a $1,000 bond, Scheiwe said.
Three Phoenix men, two of them brothers, were charged in the two previous robberies, Scheiwe said.
