The City Council has given approval to a rezoning ordinance that will allow development of a 12-unit condominium complex at 155th Street and Kilpatrick Avenue.
Brigham Construction Co. Inc. of Orland Park will construct three buildings with four units each on the 1.2-acre site bounded by the Midlothian Creek. The council agreed to rezone the land from business to residential use. Variances will allow the construction firm to convert a loft into a third bedroom upon request and to reduce the lot size from 5,000 to 4,600 square feet.
Initially the developer proposed 30 units, but that plan was rejected.
