An Oak Forest contractor who pleaded guilty to bilking an elderly woman in home-repair fraud scams was sentenced Tuesday by Cook County Criminal Court Judge Robert Bertucci to 6 months in jail and 2 years of intensive probation.

Bill Baker, 46, pleaded guilty on May 30 and agreed to repay $17,000, which he did Tuesday. Baker was indicted in October 1996 after an investigation by Illinois Atty. Gen. Jim Ryan’s office found evidence that he bilked $15,000 from a Posen woman.
