player ready...U.S. Rep. Glenn Poshard, a Downstate Democrat running for Illinois governor, makes another campaign foray this week into the western suburbs.
Poshard (D-Ill.) is scheduled to meet voters at a back-yard gathering from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at the home of Bernard and Victoria Hollister, 1899 Sheffield Lane, Geneva.
Hundreds of Poshard’s Downstate supporters arrived by bus Saturday for a rally at the Daley Center in Chicago. Though he announced his candidacy in March, Poshard remains largely unknown among Democrats in the Chicago area.
