A straw vote has indicated that the NBA beat writers are going to give the trophy for Most Valuable Player to Karl Malone this year. (But) there just flat isn’t anybody in any sport in any country more valuable than Michael Jordan. Period. Malone is having a nice season with the Utah Jazz and has for years been one of the good guys. But more valuable than Jordan? Michael Jordan leads the world in most valuable. He’s more valuable than Congress, DeNiro, Oprah, the heads of several nations, Donald Trump (but not Marla Maples) and–I’m going to go out on a limb here–Tiger Woods.
