DuPage officials hope to open bids next month on a new contract to provide meals at the county Convalescent Center.
Proposals are due May 23, and County Board approval could come in early June, officials said Monday at a meeting of the board’s Health and Human Services Committee.
Philadelphia-based Aramark Healthcare Support Services has notified the county that it intends to opt out early of its $1.5 million contract to provide meals at the nursing home.
Officials had said that DuPage could save $250,000 this year by privatizing meal services at the Convalescent Center.
