The owners of five pieces of property in the Higgins-Golf-Roselle Roads Triangle area have not accepted the village’s offer to buy rights of way on their land for a major road-widening project, Village Atty. Jack Siegel said.
The village is seeking parts of the front of 10 pieces of property for the road widening. So far, Siegel said, the village has made deals with owners of four of the 10 parcels, and the village is owner of a fifth parcel.

Siegel said the village would go forward with condemnation proceedings in a week if necessary.
“We go to court if they don’t change their mind,” Siegel said.
