A 29-year-old Steger woman was killed earlier this week in a two-car crash in Harvey.
Jennifer Betancourt died Wednesday at Columbia-Olympia Fields Osteopathic Medical Center from injuries sustained Tuesday. The crash occurred at 147th Street and Clinton Avenue.
Betancourt was in a 1994 Ford driven eastbound on 147th Street by her mother, Carole Betancourt, 53, also of Steger.
Betancourt’s car collided with the front end of a 1977 Chevy Nova driven westbound on 147th Street by Dolton resident Deidre Verser, 16.
Harvey police cited Verser for driving too fast for conditions. Police also cited Carole Betancourt for failure to yield the right of way and for lack of proof of insurance.
