Three young men and a 16-year-old boy have been arrested in connection with a home invasion and beating of a homeowner last month.
Alexander M. Stryczula, 17, of 5 S. Fender Ave., Lisle; Robert C. Gilliam Jr., 18, of 25 W 354 Burlington Ave., Naperville; Walter S. Faber, 19, of 720 Rance Rd., Oswego; and a 16-year-old Lisle boy were all charged with home invasion, burglary and aggravated battery.
Police said the 16-year-old, Stryczula and Faber climbed through the window of a residence in the 6200 block of Belmont Road in Downers Grove on March 1 as Gilliam waited in a car. The homeowner was beaten with clubs, police said.
Stryczula was an acquaintance of the victim’s family, police said, and the motive was burglary. The suspects were in custody Wednesday.
