Noel Coward’s “Design for Living,” the 1932 comedy of an artistic, globe-trotting menage a trois, is being revived for the Goodman Theatre’s 1997-98 Mainstage season. Also on the schedule is “Lillian,” the latest one-man show by David Cale.
“Design for Living,” one of Coward’s Broadway hits, will be directed by resident director David Petrarca. “Design” and “Lillian” join scheduled productions of William Shakespeare’s “As You Like It,” to be directed by Michael Maggio, and the world premiere of Eric Bogosian’s “Griller,” to be directed by Robert Falls.
Anna Deavere Smith’s “The Press and the Presidency,” slated for the ’97-’98 season, has been rescheduled for the ’98-’99 season.
