The Village Board this week approved plans for the construction of two office buildings within the Prairie Stone Business Park, home to the Sears, Roebuck and Co. Merchandise Group.
The board gave preliminary approval for three other office buildings and a six-story parking garage on the property at the northeast corner of the Northwest Tollway and Beverly Road.
As part of the approval, the landowner must pay for traffic signals, if and when the signals are warranted.
Construction on the first two buildings is expected to begin immediately.
