A model hunt: One Step Ahead, a national mail-order house for children’s products, is putting out the call for new talent. The Lake Bluff company is asking all parents who think their child or children may very well have the best mixture of cute genes to send in photos. Those chosen will be used in the four catalogs put out each year.
Tina Kapinos of Buffalo Grove can’t wait to see this spring’s catalog. In the highchair section will be her 6-month-old twins, Daniel and Kevin. The young models got the call for a modeling assignment only two weeks after Mom sent in their photos.
“They’ll smile for anyone,” Kapinos said. “They sat in highchairs and just smiled away.” And, their mom added, modeling highchairs was appropriate for these big eaters, who entered this life at about 8 pounds each, hefty weights for twins. Send those non-returnable photos to One Step Ahead, Box 517, Lake Bluff, Ill. 60044.
