Rosemary Clooney
White Christmas (Concord Jazz) (star) (star) (star) 1/2
If you want holiday music in the classic Bing Crosby tradition, try “White Christmas.” After all, Clooney co-starred with der Bingle in the 1954 film classic of the same name. On this, her first-ever Christmas record, she applies her pleasingly husky voice and marvelous timing to an extra-large stocking’s worth of standards, accompanied by lightly swinging orchestral arrangements.
