Village President Sandra Gulden has decided she cannot walk away from her job and will be running for re-election in April.
Gulden announced last month she would not seek a second term but soon was inundated with a “tremendous amount of support and people telling me to please run again,” she said Tuesday.
“I thought I could serve four years and walk away but I can’t,” Gulden said.
She added she has unfinished business and would like projects such as the 135th Street bridge to become reality in a second term.
Trustees Ed McCartan and Fred Dewald, Jr., also have announced their candidacies.
