Q.I find that the people who attend my university are sexually repressed, and I think the reason is that so many people masturbate so much that they’re not interested in sex. Do you think that’s possible?

A. In this day of AIDS, there are young people who prefer to masturbate instead of having casual sex, and I would not call them sexually repressed. They’re waiting to find the right person to form a sexual relationship with, and if they haven’t found that person, they’re waiting until they do. I say good for them. It’s certainly better to masturbate than to risk catching a deadly disease.
