Kelly was awarded a quarterfinal victory over Farragut Thursday in the Public League’s soccer tournament after league officials discovered Farragut, which beat Kelly on penalty kicks, used two ineligible players in Wednesday’s match.
Kelly (18-5-2) will play in Friday’s semifinal against Juarez (16-2-2) at 2 p.m. at Young. Foreman (15-0-2) and Roosevelt (11-4-2) will meet in the other semifinal at noon. Semifinal winners advance to Monday’s title game at Rockne Stadium. The champion advances to next weekend’s state quarterfinals.
