Joliet police were investigating the Wednesday-night shooting death of a 19-year-old man.
The body of Steve Smith of Joliet was found in the 300 block of South Chicago Street at 9:15 p.m., Sgt. Terry Mazur said.
Police said they that did not yet have a motive in the shooting and that it was not known if the slaying was gang-related.
