County Board members allocated $160,000 Tuesday to make emergency repairs to the county-owned sewer system that serves the Steeple Run subdivision, near Naperville in unincorporated DuPage.

A lift station in the subdivision, at Maple Avenue west of Yackley Avenue, was heavily damaged during last month’s flooding, according to Gregory Wilcox, the county’s director of environmental concerns

Wilcox said the lift station’s electrical equipment was under water during the flooding.

The County Board earlier this month voted to pay up to $125,000 to CEMCON, a Winfield engineering firm, for a study of possible flood-control projects that would protect the subdivision.
