BASEBALL CARDS VALUED AT $6,200 STOLEN

Police are investigating the theft of several valuable baseball cards displayed at a card show at an area school, police said.

The owner told police the 11 cards, worth an estimated $6,200, were taken Sunday afternoon from under a glass case during a collector’s show at Forest View Alternative School, 2121 S. Goebbert Rd.

The cards, which date to the 1920s, 1930s and 1940s and depict several Hall of Famers, were in a stack bound with a rubber band, police said.
