GEOGRAPHIC IN JOINT CINEMA VENTURE

National Geographic Television formed a joint venture with Destination Cinema Inc. to produce films, build and restore theaters, and construct retail stores. National Geographic will invest about $20 million in the next three years in Destination Cinema, the world’s largest owner of IMAX theaters, and has acquired an equity stake in the Ogden, Utah-based firm.
