Mortgage rates edged higher this week after a two-week slide. Thirty-year mortgages averaged 8.03 percent nationally, up from 8.01 percent last week. Meanwhile, 15-year mortgages rose to 7.54 percent from 7.51 percent and adjustable loan rates rose to 5.76 percent from 5.75 percent. The rates do not include fees known as points.
