The Kane County Forest Preserve District this week took the first step toward a major refurbishing of Settler’s Hill Golf Course.
Commissioners on Tuesday authorized a $15,300 contract to the St. Charles architectural firm of Esler Golf Design for redesign and development of the preserve-owned course.
Plans include rebuilding several tees, improving cart paths and drainage. Commissioners hope the work will be completed before the 1997 golf season.
