Eastbound traffic exiting the Northwest Tollway at Illinois Highway 59 will have to pay a new 15-cent toll starting in the fall, the Illinois State Toll Highway Authority has announced.

At the same time, a new, eastbound entrance ramp to the Northwest Tollway will be opened at Beverly Road, west of Illinois 59. Beverly Road now has an exit for westbound traffic.

The new Beverly Road entrance ramp is scheduled to be completed Oct. 31, said tollway spokesman David Loveday. When this ramp opens, the toll plaza at the eastbound exit at Illinois 59 will be activated. That toll plaza is already there, but is not being used.

The eastbound entrance ramp at Beverly Road and the eastbound toll plaza at Illinois 59 are not related, said Loveday.
