O.J. books, O.J. videos, O.J. television coverage. Now, not surprisingly, the logical spinoff: a feature film on the O.J. Simpson trial.

Viacom Inc.’s Paramount Pictures has signed an agreement with Christopher Darden to develop the former Los Angeles prosecutor’s best-selling book, “In Contempt,” into Hollywood’s first feature film of the murder trial.

The agreement, according to Variety, calls for Darden and film producer Steve Tisch to produce the film and for Darden to co-write the screenplay.

Paramount did not disclose financial details. Tisch had purchased the rights to the book before Darden wrote it.
