The House of Blues won’t open in Chicago until later this year, but the company isn’t delaying its efforts to woo fans in the home of the blues. Otis Rush, legendary Chicago guitarist, has just been signed to the company’s new record label, House of Blues Music Co. Officials made the announcement Thursday at a party broadcast over the Internet from its Hollywood club. Rush’s album, set for a fall release, will be produced by John Porter. Also, House of Blues plans to sponsor the Crossroads Stage at this summer’s Blues Festival in Grant Park, with Rush’s label mates John Mooney, Jimmy Rip and Paul Black & the Flip Kings performing.
