Leaders of Palatine and Inverness are inviting residents to participate in joint meetings “to examine the issues in our communities, define the problems and create lasting solutions.”

“We want housewives, doctors, the homeless, the youth, senior citizens, firefighters, teachers, parents, and young working couples” to participate, Palatine Village President Rita Mullins said last week in a news conference, which Inverness Village President Donna Thomas could not attend.

The first joint meeting of what will be called “Vision in Progress: Partnering for Healthier Communities” will be at 5:30 p.m. May 28 at Watercress Banquets, 1200 W. Northwest Highway, Palatine.
