Police arrested Anthony DeShawn Rhodes, 21, of 1408 Princeton Ave., Wheaton, and Bryan Randall Burkley, 25, of 524 Spruce Lane, Bolingbrook, on Saturday in the robbery of a 24-year-old Lombard man. Each was charged with armed robbery.
The victim reportedly told police that while he stood at a cash machine at West Suburban Bank, 2800 Finley Rd., he was approached by Rhodes who allegedly pointed a gun at the victim and demanded money. When the victim handed him only $25, Rhodes allegedly ordered him to withdraw more money from the machine, but then ran to where Burkley sat in a nearby car and drove away, police said.
