Q. With baby boomers now reaching into their 50s, what do you foresee for their sex lives?
A. There are certain changes that take place in sexual functioning, among both men and women, as they reach a certain age, but I believe that baby boomers are going to have an easier time of it. The reason is that there is so much more information available to them than there was to prior generations. So many more women now know that after menopause they may have to use a lubricant and many more men realize that they need increased physical stimulation to obtain an erection after a certain age.
There are still a lot of people who do need to be told, but baby boomers are really the first generation to benefit from the information superhighway when it comes to learning and anticipating the changes to their sexual performance as they age.
