A 78-year-old local woman died Saturday afternoon after being struck by a mini-van while crossing Cicero Avenue near 105th Street, police said Sunday.
Lolita Burton died at Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn after being hit by an Oak Lawn woman driving a Mercury Voyager, said police Lt. Michael Spillman. Nadia Abad, 32, was ticketed for striking a pedestrian in a roadway, police said. The case is still under investigation.
