There are many ways to see the world, and a cruise — be it on a river, lake or ocean — is still one of the more interesting experiences. (Contact a travel agent for more details on the following cruises.)

– Windstar Cruises’ spring sale of Mediterranean positioning sailings begins with two 14-day trans-Atlantic crossings: March 31 on Wind Spirit and April 6 on Wind Star. Other itineraries: cruises between Lisbon and Rome, and the line’s 10th anniversary celebration sailings along coast of France. Dates: March 31 to May 20; from $1,398 to $4,267 per person, double, depending on length of cruise.

– Silversea Cruises and Le Cordon Bleu join forces to offer four special sailings that feature French gastronomy and table arts. Included are round-trip air, pre-cruise deluxe hotel accommodations, beverages aboard ship, meals, transfers, porterage and port charges.

– French Country Waterways Barge Cruises celebrates its 10th season with 10 percent, 25 percent and 50 percent off on its luxury barge cruises in Burgundy for couples celebrating their 10th, 25th and 50th anniversaries. Sail between April 7 and Nov. 2.

– American Canadian Caribbean Line’s three-country (Belize, Guatemala and Honduras) 12-day exploratory cruise on the Caribbean Prince sails from Belize City March 29 and April 12. Daily rate is $125 per person, double, regardless of cabin category.
