No. 8 Fremd (22-6) advanced just as easily, bombarding Rolling Meadows 73-38. Daryl Schaffeld (21 points) had 18 first-half points and the Vikings jumped ahead 15-1.

Stevenson sectional: Lake Forest (17-7) used a 21-8 second-half run to pull away from Round Lake 62-47. Janie Hodgkinson, who finished with 23 points, scored nine straight points at one point. Mara Mordini added 19 points for the Scouts, who set a school record for victories in a season. “Mara is our engine and Janie wins us games,” said Lake Forest coach Jay Hoffman. The pair hit on 19 of 22 shots.

Warren (20-7) eliminated North Chicago 65-23 as Julie Minuskin had 17, followed by 10 apiece for Nikki Wessel and Tiffany Kelver.

“Most of South’s points in the first half came on second-chance shots,” said Woodstock coach Ed Brucker. “I thought Becky and Lisa did a great job on the boards in the second half, and I thought we were calmer breaking the press.”
Karla Kaschub scored 20 points and Bridget Voltl 17 as Dundee-Crown (20-7) eliminated Rockford Jefferson 78-58.
