Elgin tied the state record with its 51st consecutive home victory Tuesday night with a 77-40 trouncing of DeKalb.
Leslie Schock’s 19 points, Tina Wenckaitis’ 16 points and Melissa Parker’s 15 points led the No. 2 Maroons, who don’t play again at home until Jan. 12, when they face Larkin.
“It’s hard to maintain your intensity when you have such a big lead,” said Elgin coach Lee Turek. “We tried some different combinations in the second half, but we didn’t do anything spectacularly.”
Elgin is 10-0, 7-0 in the Upstate Eight.
Resurrection 82, Trinity 24: No. 5 Resurrection (9-1) used a 20-2 run in the game’s first six minutes to earn the GCAC Central triumph. Beth Gawlinski and Tara Babich each scored 14 and Andrea Mendyk added 12.
“It’s fair to say we can play with anybody in the state,” said Resurrection coach Frank Zepf. “The real test will come next week at (the) Dundee-Crown (tournament).”
Glenbrook South 65, Waukegan 53: No. 13 Glenbrook South (11-2, 5-0) prevailed in Central Suburban South play as Dana Leonard scored 18 points, Erin Partaker 17 and McKenzie Krueger 14.
New Trier 55, Regina 43: No. 14 New Trier (9-2) won the non-conference contest as Briana Fitzgerald collected 21 points and 14 rebounds and Emily Krone added 12 points and 13 rebounds.
Hinsdale Central 44, Downers Grove North 32: No. 20 Hinsdale Central (9-3, 4-1) stopped No. 16 Downers North’s nine-game winning streak with the West Suburban Silver victory. Hinsdale, Downers (10-3 overall) and Lyons Township are all 4-1 in conference.
Hinsdale played once again without Leah Berki, out up to four weeks with a stress fracture in her back. Jenny Pavich led the winners with 14 points, including seven in the fourth quarter. Berki’s replacement, Julie Ross, had eight points and eight rebounds and Laura Barnard added nine points and four steals.
Casey Leonhardt led Downers North with 17 points, 10 rebounds and four blocks–but only managed five second-half points.
Willowbrook 56, Elk Grove 53: No. 19 Willowbrook (10-2) handed No. 17 Elk Grove (9-1) its first loss with the non-conference victory. Marina Rossini’s 17 points led Willowbrook and Christine Miller scored all eight of her points in the second half, including two free throws with 12 seconds left.
Glenbrook North 58, Libertyville 38: Glenbrook North (9-4) cruised in non-conference play as Kelly Collins scored 24 points.

Cary-Grove 71, McHenry 41: Cary-Grove (4-8, 3-2) won the Fox Valley contest behind Stephanie Perkins’ 18 points and nine rebounds and Candice Spiniolas’ 18 points, seven assists and five steals.
Dundee-Crown 51, Crystal Lake Central 39: Kelley Storm scored 12 of her 15 points in the fourth quarter and hit three of three three-pointers, and Elaine Zybko had 16 points and nine rebounds for Dundee-Crown (10-2, 5-0) in the Fox Valley.
Lake Zurich 57, Crystal Lake South 44: Alicia Ratay poured in 29 points as Lake Zurich (9-3, 5-0) won the Fox Valley contest. Jaime Johnson’s 20 topped C.L. South.
Woodstock tournament: Rockton Hononegah downed Woodstock 70-53 for the title as Shawna Jensen scored 21 points.
Streamwood beat Round Lake 57-48 as Jen Sjostrand scored 15 points.
