Sandwiched: Murray Craven was at center again, on a line between twin towers Probert and Eric Daze. At 6 feet 2 inches, Craven is no shrimp, but he is not considered a physical player.

Scratched: Jeff Shantz and Brent Grieve were the Hawks’ healthy scratches Wednesday.

Denis Savard, who says his sore left foot no longer troubles him, played center again on a line with Cummins and Patrick Poulin.
