The Popcorn Palace at Navy Pier is corny, and you’ll love it! The teensy store has ‘corn in so many gorgeous , goofy flavors you’ll want to munch a bunch.
The ‘corn comes in Seasoned, Candied, and Supreme & Nutty varieties (and original plain or buttered, yawn). There are five sizes, from snack size (about six fistfuls, $2-$3.50) to the 6 1/2-gallon party size ($10-$24). Plus you can take home cute combo canisters for $4.25-$36. Cheapos that we are, we stuck with snack sizes, and tried Sour Cream & Chives, Rainbow (tangerine, wild cherry, grape and lemon flavors), Cookies & Cream (sweet!) and Chocolate Fudge Brownie (rich!). For $11.50, we stuffed ourselves silly. (Hey, it was research.) Next time, we’ll grab a bunch of snack sacks with different flavors, share with pals while window shopping at Navy Pier, then tuck the rest away for later (you get a wrap tie and plastic bag).
