Secret Service agents have taken over the investigation of three counterfeit $100 bills, which were passed at a local department store, police said.
The first two bills were discovered Nov. 14, when bank officials notified Wal-Mart, at 930 Mt. Prospect Plaza.
On Nov. 17, a clerk told police he accepted a $100 bill that later was declared counterfeit, police said.
