In this season of non-trends, there is one sure-fire accessory guaranteed to give last season’s leftovers a fresh new flavor:

It should have a funky or stacked heel. The top should hit somewhere between your calf and your knee. It can scream fire-engine red patent or motorcycle black leather-or it can whisper pretty-in-pink vinyl.
