Police on Sunday were searching for the gunman in what they believe was a gang shooting early Sunday in which five people were injured.
About 2:20 a.m., a man wielding a shotgun walked up to a house in the 400 block of Washington Street and fired on five people sitting on an L-shaped porch, inflicting minor injuries on all five, police said. Three were treated at Sherman Hospital, and one was treated St. Joseph Hospital.
Neighbors called police immediately after the shooting.
A neighbor said that as many as 10 or more young gang members hang out on the porch nearly every night because the lower part of the house is unoccupied.
