Arlington Heights police said Thursday they have arrested a Chicago man who they believe may be responsible for a string of burglaries throughout the northwest suburbs. They also have his alleged accomplice in custody.

Earlier this week, Arlington Heights police arrested Brent Lambrecht, 24, of 4833 N. Hoyne Ave., at the Arlington Park Metra station.

Police believe Lambrecht is responsible for three burglaries in Arlington Heights over the last month.

Police also believe Lambrecht is responsible for at least 10 other burglaries reported in Elk Grove Village, Palatine, Rolling Meadows and Hoffman Estates.

Police said they waited to disclose Lambrecht’s arrest while they investigated an alleged accomplice and similar burglaries elsewhere. Charges against the alleged accomplice are pending.
