A former public health official in Chicago will take over July 1 as executive director of the DuPage County Health Department.
Dr. David R. McNutt, 57, replaces Dr. Kevin Sherin, who resigned in November to head a program at Christ Hospital and Medical Center in Oak Lawn that trains family-practice physicians. McNutt will be paid $116,000 a year.
He works in Ann Arbor, Mich., as medical examiner for Washtenaw County, and was a deputy health commissioner for Chicago from 1980 to 1982.
