About 1,800 customers of Commonwealth Edison were without power for at least an hour and a half Wednesday night in an area bounded by the Northwest Tollway on the north, Weathersfield Way on the south, Plum Grove Road on the east and Roselle Road on the west.
The outage caused traffic signals to fail at the busy intersection of Roselle and Golf Roads, police said.
Edison said the outage was caused by a “cable fault” and lasted from 6:25 to 7:55 p.m.
